Setup Instructions

Install the App

Visit the Shopify App Store and install Flexi Slider Sections. Start your free trial to unlock access to all Flexi sections, including the Articles Grid.

Install Section

Open the Flexi app and navigate to the sections library. Search for "Articles Grid" and click "Add to Theme" to install it instantly.

Add to Your Store

Go to your Shopify admin → Online StoreThemesCustomize. Click "Add section" and select "Articles Grid" from the available sections.

Set Section Width

In the section settings, choose your preferred layout:

  • Full width: Spans the entire page width
  • Fixed width: Set a custom maximum width (320px – 1440px)
  • Theme width: Use your theme’s default container width

Add Content

Select the blog you want to pull articles from and configure how many posts appear in the grid. Each article card can display elements such as featured images, titles, excerpts, publish dates, and call-to-action links.

Customize & Style

Fine-tune your articles grid using Flexi’s built-in settings:

  • Control the number of columns on desktop and mobile
  • Adjust spacing, padding, and card layouts
  • Toggle article metadata such as dates or excerpts
  • Customize typography, colors, and hover styles

Works Seamlessly with Dawn & Horizon

Flexi sections are built for Shopify’s modern theme architecture, which means the Articles Grid works seamlessly with Dawn, Horizon, and any Online Store 2.0 theme.

Dawn Compatibility

Dawn is Shopify’s reference theme, and the Flexi Articles Grid follows the same structural and responsive design principles used throughout Dawn.

This ensures your article cards inherit your theme’s typography, button styles, and spacing by default, while still allowing full customization through Flexi’s settings.

Horizon & Modern Framework Support

Horizon introduces a more modular, future-forward approach to Shopify theme development. The Articles Grid is fully compatible with this architecture and integrates cleanly without overriding global styles or JavaScript behavior.

Because each Flexi section is self-contained and theme-safe, you can confidently use the Articles Grid in Horizon-based themes without worrying about conflicts or unexpected layout changes.

Theme-Safe by Design

Every Flexi section is performance-optimized and scoped to avoid interfering with your existing theme. This means you can:

  • Add or remove the Articles Grid without touching theme code
  • Preview changes safely before publishing
  • Reuse the same section across multiple themes
  • Switch themes without rebuilding your content layout

Whether you're running Dawn, Horizon, or a heavily customized Online Store 2.0 theme, the Flexi Articles Grid adapts automatically — letting you focus on content and storytelling, not technical setup.
