Setup Instructions

Install the App

Visit the Shopify App Store and install Flexi Slider Sections. Start your free trial to unlock access to all Flexi content-based sections and blocks.

Install Section

Open the Flexi app and navigate to the sections library. Search for "Custom Content", "Text & Headings", or similar Flexi content sections and click "Add to Theme" to install them instantly.

Add to Your Store

Go to your Shopify admin → Online Store → Themes → Customize. Navigate to the page where you want to add content, click "Add section", and select your Flexi custom content section from the available sections.

Set Section Width

In the section settings, choose how your content should be displayed:

  • Full width: Create immersive, edge-to-edge content layouts
  • Fixed width: Set a custom maximum width (320px – 1440px)
  • Theme width: Match your theme’s default content container

Add Content

Click "Add block" to add headers, paragraphs, buttons, or mixed content blocks. Each block represents a piece of content and can be reordered freely using Shopify’s drag-and-drop editor.

This allows you to build structured sections such as page intros, feature explanations, FAQs, or editorial layouts without editing theme files.

Customize & Style

Customize your content sections using Flexi’s built-in settings:

  • Adjust heading levels and text hierarchy
  • Control spacing, padding, and alignment
  • Customize typography, colors, and backgrounds
  • Add buttons, links, or supporting visuals

Works Seamlessly with Dawn & Horizon

Flexi sections are built for Shopify’s modern theme architecture, which means custom headers, text, and content sections work seamlessly with Dawn, Horizon, and all Online Store 2.0 themes.

Dawn Compatibility

Dawn is Shopify’s reference theme, and Flexi content sections follow the same spacing, typography, and accessibility best practices used throughout Dawn.

This ensures your custom content inherits your theme’s visual language by default, while still allowing precise control through Flexi’s settings.

Horizon & Modern Framework Support

Horizon represents Shopify’s next-generation theme framework. Flexi custom content sections integrate cleanly with Horizon-based themes without overriding global styles or introducing JavaScript conflicts.

Because each Flexi section is self-contained and theme-safe, you can confidently add rich content to modern and highly customized storefronts.

Theme-Safe by Design

Every Flexi section is scoped, isolated, and performance-optimized. This means you can:

  • Add or update content sections without editing theme code
  • Preview content changes safely before publishing
  • Reuse the same content sections across pages and themes
  • Switch themes without rebuilding text-based layouts

Whether you're using Dawn, Horizon, or a fully custom Online Store 2.0 theme, Flexi’s custom headers and content sections adapt automatically — giving you the flexibility to communicate clearly, structure pages effectively, and support conversion across your store.
