How to Add Flexi Sections to Your Shopify Theme

Getting started with Flexi is simple. In this guide, we’ll walk through how to add Flexi sections to your Shopify theme, step-by-step.

 

Step 1: Open the Flexi App

In your Shopify admin, go to Apps and click on Flexi. This will take you to the Flexi dashboard where you can browse available sections.

 

Step 2: Browse the Section Library

From the Flexi dashboard, click on the Sections tab. You’ll see a list of professionally designed, developer-friendly sections including:

• Hero banners

• Product sliders

• Testimonials

• Image + text combos

• And more

You can preview each section before adding it.

 

Step 3: Add a Section to Your Theme

Once you've found a section you want to use:

1. Click "Add to Theme" next to the section name
2. Choose the theme you want to add it to (usually your live or development theme)
3. Confirm the action

The section will now be available inside your Shopify theme editor.

 

Step 4: Use the Section in the Theme Editor

1. Go to Online Store > Themes in Shopify
2. Click Customize on your theme
3. In the left sidebar, click "Add Section"
4. Scroll or search for the name of the section you added
5. Drag it into place and start customizing it

Flexi sections are modular, meaning you can:

Reminder: Enable the App Embed

Before customizing your section, make sure the Flexi app embed is turned on:

1. In the theme editor, click the App Embeds tab

2. Toggle "Flexi Sections" app embed ON

3. Click Save

This ensures your section loads with the correct styling.
