Full Site Rebuild

Pro Am Sports needed a complete Shopify overhaul—from site design to product data. With over 5,000 SKUs spanning multiple categories, the goal was to make the site easier to navigate and ensure sizing information was standardized across the board. I led the rebuild, performed a full data cleanup, and introduced a custom filtering system alongside a dynamic, easy-to-manage size guide.

Problem

The product catalog at Pro Am Sports was massive and inconsistent. Products varied heavily in type and structure, making it difficult for users to filter or find what they were looking for. On top of that, sizing charts were scattered and inconsistent.

Solution

Using Matrixify, I performed a full data cleanup and migration, organizing thousands of products with consistent tagging and metafield structure.To solve the navigation challenge, I built a custom filtering system using Shopify’s Search & Discovery app combined with metafields. This setup allows Pro Am Sports to dynamically show or hide filter categories based on the user’s current collection or selections giving customers a more intuitive, choose your own path experience.

Result

The result is a faster, smarter shopping experience. Customers can now navigate 5,000+ products with ease, using filters tailored to what they’re browsing. The size guide is consistent across products and simple to maintain, reducing confusion and support requests.Pro Am Sports now has a scalable Shopify store that’s clean under the hood and user-friendly on the surface—built to handle growth while staying easy to manage.

Custom Size Guide

For sizing, we developed a standardized size guide built directly into the theme using metafields. It’s fully editable via the Shopify theme customizer, so the team can manage and update sizing charts without touching code.

Shipping Costs

To help reduce shipping costs across Canada, we standardized Pro Am Sports’ shipping setup by streamlining package sizes and rates within Shopify. By aligning product dimensions and weights, we were able to simplify fulfillment rules and unlock better rates from carriers. The result: faster shipping decisions at checkout and lower overall costs for both the brand and customers.
